The Polaboy – Art by Day, Light by Night 

LIGHTBOYS are a pair of product designers and craftsmen who have been working on the idea of a light picture for the past few years. The result is POLABOY, a frame that illuminates and immortalizes your favorite Polaroid based memories.

Instead of letting your Polaroids languish away in that scrapbook you rarely look at anymore, the company will reproduce the warm retro feel of yesterday’s analog photography by expanding your photos onto 35 or 42 inch wide prints that are interchangeable in the POLABOY LED lighted frame.

This project is about simplicity and we try to find alternate simple versions for some package samples of the international brands. We think almost every product needs some review for minimal feeling. 

Concealed Series by De Castelli, 2010

A range of monolithic storage units constructed in birch and available surfaced with maistral copper, acid-etched iron or acid-etched brass. Concealed, hidden, secret. Different personalities: a menhir, a safe, a skyscraper, an object that reveals its function, touch by touch. Mobile is a hidden drawer with many interior spaces, almost secret, which are accessed through a slight hand pressure on the front surface. The drawers are of different heights and misaligned, made of birch wood.
